60s & 70s Show
Step into a time machine every Sunday afternoon as I take you back to two of the most iconic decades in music history!
Hour One: The Swingin’ Sixties
From dreamy Teen Idols like Billy Fury and Bobby Vee to the unstoppable Beat Boom of The Beatles, The Stones and beyond — it's a magical hour packed with unforgettable tunes and a few hidden gems you may have forgotten (or never discovered!).
Hour Two: The Sensational Seventies
Whether you’re into platform boots and Glam Rock (hello, Sweet and The Rubettes) or prefer the mellow vibes of James Taylor and Jackson Browne, we’ve got the perfect soundtrack for your Sunday afternoon. Expect chart-toppers, brilliant B-sides, and those radio tracks that never quite made the Top 40.
Features Include:
Two Fifties at 2.50 – A toe-tapping tribute to the rock ’n’ roll roots of the 1950s.
The Disco Diamond – We finish with a floor-filler that’ll have you dancing in the kitchen!
It’s all about the music – pure and simple – with just the right sprinkle of fun facts and nostalgic memories.
Got a story or song request from the ‘60s or ‘70s? I’d love to hear from you!
