My lifelong love affair with music began in the golden age of radio, tuning in to Radio Luxembourg and the pirate stations that rocked the airwaves in the 1960s.

By the 1970s, I'd swapped the radio dial for the DJ decks, spinning records in clubs around Essex — a passion that carried on through the ‘80s and ‘90s.

In 2017, I joined Black Cat Radio just as we launched on FM. It felt like the perfect way to bring everything full circle – combining my love of music and radio in one place.

I’m still just as passionate about playing the songs that shaped several generations – and discovering a few hidden gems along the way.
