Train services will continue to be disrupted, with all lines between Bedford & St Pancreas closed.
Following the collision on Friday, involving two trains, East Midlands Railway (EMR) has said there may be short notice alterations to its engineering timetable due to the incident on Friday, with trains that usually start and terminate at St Pancras doing so at Bedford instead.
Thameslink services between Bedford and Finsbury Park, as well as St Pancras, London Bridge and Sutton, are also affected by pre-planned engineering work. Rail replacement buses are in place.
Specialist teams are at the scene of the crash as the investigation continues into what caused the collision in which a driver was killed and 33 passengers were seriously injured.
Network Rail has said that it will be a "complex task" as they assess the damage not only to the trains but also any infrastructure. There is no sense yet as to when the recovery work will be complete. The line will have to be checked to make sure it can be safely reopened. In the meantime expect delays on EMR services.
