Rail operator unveils improvements to small stations

More than £1.7million has been invested into projects improving stations across Thameslink, Southern and Great Northern network in the past year.

An additional £1.7million has already been secured for future improvements in the coming year, Govia Thameslink Railway has revealed.

New interactive information screens, more secure cycle storage and improved accessibility at stations across the network have been unveiled.

New and improved information screens are now available at Sandy, Hitchin, Hatfield and Huntingdon.

Meanwhile, seating has been improved at St Neots, Harlington, Huntingdon and Cuffley, with a new interactive information screen installed at Stevenage.

Across the network, CCTV provision has been improved based on crime data and more detailed 3D maps of stations have been produced to improve station accessibility.

Over the coming year, passengers can expect a design study for an accessible toilet at St Neots following feedback.
