Santa: All I want from Christmas is… a new garage!

St Neots Round Table is appealing for help to find a new base for its popular Santa Sleigh ahead of this year’s Christmas visits.

The group says new housing developments mean the site it usually uses to store and operate the sleigh throughout December will soon no longer be available.

Volunteers are now hoping a local business, landowner or organisation may have a suitable space in or around St Neots which they could use from late November until Christmas Eve.

Ideally, the group needs a secure and covered location with enough room to park a large van, along with some additional storage space for equipment and supplies.

Access would be needed during afternoons, evenings and weekends, with somewhere for volunteers to leave their vehicles while they’re out with the sleigh.

An electricity supply would also be helpful, with the Round Table happy to cover the cost of any power used.

The annual Santa Sleigh has become a familiar sight around St Neots during December, with volunteers taking Father Christmas around local neighbourhoods in the run-up to Christmas.
