A428 Upgrade A1 Sth 27SEP25 to Sun 28SEP25

National Highways are  resurfacing parts of the A1 southbound between Wyboston and Black Cat roundabout. 

Saturday 27 to Sunday 28 September 2025 (6am to 8pm)

They'll close lane 2 of the A1 southbound between Wyboston and Black Cat roundabout.

During this time access from the A1 southbound to the A421 westbound will be closed. 

A421 westbound traffic will be diverted onto the A1 southbound towards Sandy: 

• Traffic wishing to use Bedford Road will loop back on the Sandy roundabout and on the A1 northbound towards the Black Cat roundabout.

• Traffic wishing to use the A421 westbound will take the A603 on Moggerhanger rejoining the A421 at Cardington Interchange.
