St Neots home closed following anti-social behaviour

Closure order being put on the property at 2B Mallard Lane.

A closure order has been issued for a property in St Neots following ongoing concerns about anti-social behaviour.

Cambridgeshire Constabulary secured the order for 2B Mallard Lane after an application by the St Neots Neighbourhood Team to Peterborough Magistrates’ Court.

Police say the action followed repeated reports of anti-social behaviour linked to the address, which had caused disruption and distress for neighbouring residents.

PC Sam Palmer said:

“This behaviour has caused continued disruption and distress to those living nearby. This closure order is a necessary step to protect the community and prevent further anti-social behaviour.”

The order has been issued under the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2014 and means no one is permitted to enter the property apart from emergency services and authorised individuals.

Police say anyone entering the address unlawfully could be arrested.

Residents are continuing to be encouraged to report anti-social behaviour to police or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
