A 145-mile solo paddleboard journey from Northampton to the Norfolk coast is raising money for a specialist off-road running buggy and a family holiday for two 17-year-old twin brothers with disabilities.
Tom began the 145-mile journey from Beckets Park in Northampton, with his route taking him to Heacham Beach in Norfolk.
He is completing the journey alone by paddleboard and plans to sleep in a hammock beside the river during overnight stops.
The challenge is raising money for Tom’s 17-year-old twin nephews, Ben and David, who both live with disabilities.
Ben has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair, while David is autistic. The fundraising is intended to help buy Ben a specialist off-road adult running buggy, allowing him to take part in off-road activities and community runs.
Any additional money raised will be put towards a family holiday.
Tom had already raised more than £3,600 through a marathon earlier in the year before beginning the paddleboard challenge.
