A home in Huntingdon has been shut down for three months after repeated reports of anti-social behaviour from nearby residents.
A Huntingdon property has been closed for three months following ongoing complaints of anti-social behaviour. Cambridge Magistrates’ Court granted the closure order for a home at Brookland Terrace in Sayer Street after an application by Cambridgeshire Police. Officers said the action followed repeated reports of anti-social behaviour linked to the address. Under the order, nobody is allowed to enter the property until 11 August except emergency services and the landlord. Anyone found inside unlawfully could face arrest. PC Janine Hagger from the Prevention, Custody and Partnerships Team said residents in the surrounding area had experienced “significantly concerning” behaviour over a prolonged period. Police say the closure order has been issued under the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2014 and is designed to prevent further disruption for nearby residents. The force is continuing to encourage members of the public to report anti-social behaviour online, via 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
