Four men from Bedford have been charged with fraud offences linked to the sale of two houses in Luton and Hampshire in 2021.
Frank Romain, 58, of Chaucer Road, Bedford, has been charged with one count of conspiracy to defraud. Lewis Perrin, 32, of Balliol Road, Kempston, faces two counts of conspiracy to defraud, while Romi Anwar, 47, of Beverley Crescent, Bedford, and Khurrum Riaz, 45, of Honey Hill Road, Bedford, have each been charged with two counts of conspiracy to defraud.
All four were charged via postal requisition and are due to appear at Luton Crown Court on Monday 9 February.
The Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed that no further action will be taken against a fifth person previously arrested in connection with the case.
The charges come as part of ongoing efforts by authorities to tackle property-related fraud in Bedfordshire and surrounding areas.
