Six members of ABSolute Storm Fitness have completed all 25 sessions of a gruelling 24-hour bootcamp challenge, helping to raise thousands of pounds for charity.
The challenge saw participants exercising throughout the day and night, with 25 separate fitness sessions taking place over a continuous 24-hour period.
While a number of people joined sessions during the event, six participants managed the remarkable feat of completing every single one.
The event was organised by Coach Abi Grimmer and was the fourth 24-hour challenge she has staged through ABSolute Storm Fitness.
So far, the fundraiser has brought in more than £6,500 online, with a further £300-plus collected in donation pots during the event.
The money is being raised for three charities – Ehlers-Danlos Support UK, Parkinson’s UK and Children’s Burns Camps.
Organisers have set themselves an overall target of £10,000 and are hoping further donations will help them reach that figure, with the fundraising page remaining open until the end of September.
ABSolute Storm Fitness said the challenge was as much about teamwork as physical endurance, with members supporting and encouraging each other through the increasingly difficult sessions, particularly during the early hours.
The group has thanked everyone who took part, donated, provided food and refreshments or turned up to support participants during the 24-hour event.
