Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision in Sawtry.

A red Volvo HGV was being driven north along the B1043 Old North Road at about 12.50pm yesterday (Monday, 5 October), when it was involved in a collision with a black Kawasaki motorbike heading in the opposite direction.
The motorbike rider, a 23-year-old man from Yaxley, near Peterborough, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with life-threatening injuries where he remains.
The driver of the HGV, a 76-year-old man from Wisbech, was uninjured and arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving.
He has since been released on bail to return to Thorpe Wood Police Station on 4 January
Officers are appealing for information and dashcam footage from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle in the moments leading up to it.
