Heartbreak at Eaton Socon Cemetery Vandalism
Full English Breakfast Show
Wednesday, 15 July 2020 - 7 minutes
Bob Wicks speaks to Ste Greenall about the devastating vandalism of a memorial garden he lovingly created at the cemetery on Little End Road in Eaton Socon, St Neots.
Bob invested £25,000 of his own money to lay new pathways and install ornamental pots, creating a peaceful space for remembrance. But in recent months, the site has been targeted repeatedly—seven times in total—with the latest damage discovered on Monday night.
In this emotional conversation, Bob describes how the wooden fence was set on fire, water butts meant to help visitors care for graves were emptied, and cigarette and cannabis butts were stubbed out in the floral tributes.
