Ron Stanley
My formative years happened to coincide with the start of Independent Local Radio….so I found myself frequently listening to the first commercial station outside London, Radio Clyde in Glasgow and being particularly interested in the workings behind the scenes at this new local radio station.
At the age of 16, one of my neighbours introduced me to Hospital Radio and I was hooked. Although never brave enough to abandon my full-time job, I have been involved in Radio, be it Hospital Radio, Short-term FM licensed stations and of course Community radio, ever since.
In 2007 I saw an article in the local paper looking for people interested in being part of a radio station for St Neots so naturally I was in! And so, Black Cat Radio was born and I have been a part of the presenting and engineering team ever since and love every minute of it!
