Phil Fothergill
Phil started his long broadcasting career as a technical operator at BBC Brighton. The Breakfast SHow at one of the earlier ILR local stations was next - then off to small town America where the promised job failed to materialise and he ended up on a Country Station in a studio next to a religious station. Back home then and on to Radio Orwell in Ipswich for a while and then to Chiltern Radio to get the station up and running. Next came in-vision continuity announcer for Anglia Television in Norwich and some time as a reporter on About Anglia.
On to shopping channels, and Promotions Manager at QVC before retiring quietly to a south Bedfordshire village.
