Arrest made following school incident in Eynesbury

Teenager arrested after Eynesbury school bomb threat

A teenage boy has been arrested in connection with an incident at a school in Eynesbury.

Police were called to Ernulf Academy at around 8:45 yesterday morning, after the school reported receiving a bomb threat. As a precaution, the school put its emergency procedures in place for a short time.

A 15-year-old boy from Cambridgeshire has been arrested on suspicion of malicious communications. He has since been released on bail until the 3rd of May, with conditions not to enter or go near the school.

Sergeant Rob Streater from the St Neots Neighbourhood Team said officers will be carrying out foot patrols today and Friday and will be available to speak to anyone with concerns. He also thanked parents and the local community for their support.
