Record Store Day is the one day of the year when over 300 independent record shops all across the UK and Ireland come together to celebrate their unique culture.
More Information (Black Cat Radio is not responsible for external websites)
Record Store Day is a day for the people who make up the world of the record shop - the staff, the customers, the artists, the labels - to come together and honour the special role they place in their local communities. Special vinyl releases are made exclusively for the day and many shops and cities host artist performances and events to mark the occasion.
As usual it will be Record Store Day "al fresco" at The Only Record Shop In The Village. Our tiny shop will be over twice it's usual size with lots of records in the gazebos and on the patio.
We will have hundreds of Record Store Day exclusive releases in stock - everything that we have ordered is shown on our website. Please note: some releases are only available in very small numbers, there will be a big queue in the morning and the first few hours are a bit hectic.
If you haven't got any "to die for" records on your list and just want to enjoy the vibe we suggest that you come in the late morning or afternoon when things are a bit more relaxed
In the shop there will be lots of bargains with reductions on most of our regular stock of new and pre-loved vinyl, and in the gazebos our bargain bins will be filled with 7" and 12" singles and LPs.
In the afternoon there will be LIVE MUSIC in the garden - featuring Lost Chimes, Snowdeer, Steve Buttercase, Ian McCully and Tom Mee - tickets cost £8 (or £3 if you spend over £35 in the shop) - for more details see our Music in The Garden event
