The Summer Sessions got off to a great start at the weekend.
Gavin james and Elles Bailey were the support acts for the first weekend of Bedford's Summer Sessions. Sunday, the 6th of July sees Russell Watson and Lesley garrett with the ever popular Proms In The Park.
Week 2 starts on Thursday 10th when a lucky Black Cat Radio prize winner will be able to watch headliners The Human League, supported by Tom Bailey and Blancmange; Cafe Mambo and Jax Jones appear on Friday. Supergrass are topping the bill on Saturday and Sunday the 13th of july sees McFly.
Last night's performance made the evening special for one young lad. Rory Miles, age 10¾, from Shortstown near Bedford knew that Rag'n'Bone Man's name was the same. He spent the week creating a big colourful banner which he held aloft. It was spotted and commented on by Rag'n'Bone man at the start of his set.
Helen Miles, Rory's mum, said afterwards that Rory was buzzing with excitement for the rest of the night.
A great evening in fine weather, Bedford Summer Sessions.
