Ste Greenall celebrates 2,000 ‘Full English Breakfast’ shows on Black Cat Radio after eight years of brightening local mornings.
This morning marked a sizzling milestone at Black Cat Radio as much-loved presenter Ste Greenall celebrated his 2,000th ‘Full English Breakfast’ show – eight years of early starts and community connection.
Ste arrived at the studio to find it had been secretly transformed overnight. Balloons filled the room, shimmer curtains lined the walls, and photos from past events and studio guests created a colourful collage of memories from his time behind the mic.
Known for his warm wit, sharp local knowledge and a playlist that gets the town up and moving, Ste has become part of the morning routine for listeners across St Neots, Bedford and the surrounding villages.
Over the years, the ‘Full English Breakfast’ show has become a staple of the local airwaves, featuring regular guests, loyal listeners, and fellow presenters popping in for a chat (and sometimes a coffee and donut). From charity fundraisers to village fetes, from surprise shout-outs to on-air giggles, Ste’s breakfast table has always had room for everyone.
“It’s been an absolute blast,” said Ste, grinning between bites of celebratory cake. “I still get the same buzz walking into the studio today as I did eight years ago. Though I’m not sure I imagined it would involve this many balloons!”
Listeners were quick to send in their congratulations throughout the show, with a few surprises tucked in from familiar voices and former guests.
Everyone at Black Cat Radio is proud to raise a cuppa to Ste today – here’s to the next 2,000 shows!
