The QEII Playing Field in Little Paxton has been recognised with the prestigious Green Flag Award, joining more than 2,250 parks and green spaces across the UK to receive the honour.
The award is the international quality mark for well-managed parks and green spaces, and recognises the site’s high standards, excellent maintenance, and the welcoming environment it provides for residents and visitors.
Parish Council Chair, Cllr Richard Tomlinson, said:
“On behalf of the Parish Council, I thank our Groundsmen and Parish Clerk for their outstanding work in maintaining the QEII Playing Field to such a high standard. This Green Flag Award is a fitting recognition of their dedication and a source of pride for Little Paxton.”
The accolade is a testament to the hard work of the team responsible for caring for the green space, ensuring it can be enjoyed by the community all year round.
