A month after St Neots man Darren Willis went missing, police have thanked the public for their support and issued a renewed appeal for information.

The 53-year-old was last seen on the morning of Sunday 9 June, and reported missing from his home in Duck Lane later that day. An image has now been released showing Darren on a footpath between Willow Bridge and Shakespeare Road at just before 7am, believed to be his last confirmed sighting.

Despite dozens of reported sightings, police say none have led to Darren being found.

Detective Inspector Emma Garwood, leading the search, said:

“Although we have had no confirmed sightings of Darren, we are very grateful for all the reports we’ve had from members of the public.

Darren’s family are understandably desperate to find out where he has gone, and we’re still committed to finding him.

We still believe he could be in the community and in need of help, so we’re keen to re-appeal for information.”

Search teams have scoured green spaces and open water in the area, using drones and specialist sonar equipment.

Darren is described as white, 6ft 1in tall, of medium build, with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark blue hoody, dark blue jeans, a baseball cap, and white trainers.

DI Garwood added:

“The longer Darren is missing, the more concerning it becomes – but we haven’t given up hope of finding him alive.”

Anyone with information is urged to call 101, quoting incident 83 of 9 June.
