Police have released a CCTV image showing the last known sighting of a missing St Neots man as the search to find him enters a third week.
Darren Willis, 53, was reported missing from his home in Duck Lane on the morning of Monday, 9 June. The image, taken just before 7am that day, shows a man believed to be Darren walking along a pathway linking Willow Bridge to Shakespeare Road.
Officers say they are increasingly concerned for Darren’s welfare. In recent days, the search has spanned parks, open spaces, and waterways across St Neots, with support from local search and rescue teams including Cambridgeshire Search and Rescue (CamSAR) and Midshires Search and Rescue. Drones and specialist sonar equipment have also been used in the effort.
Police are also following up on two unconfirmed sightings in the Willington area of Bedfordshire, speaking with residents and reviewing local CCTV footage.
Darren is described as white, around 6ft 1in tall, with short brown hair and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark blue hoody, dark jeans, a baseball cap, and white trainers.
Detective Inspector Emma Garwood, who is leading the investigation, said:
“We are grateful for the support we’ve received from the public so far. One possibility is that Darren may still be in the community and in need of help, so we want to keep this appeal in people’s minds. We remain hopeful that he can be found safe and well.”
Anyone who believes they may have seen Darren, either in St Neots or the wider area, is urged to contact police by calling 101 and quoting incident number 83 of 9 June.
