Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist tragically died in a collision on the A6 near Souldrop this morning (Thursday).
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 6am following reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a blue VW Polo.
Inspector Ed Finn, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit, confirmed:
“Sadly, the motorcyclist involved in this incident was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed, and our thoughts are with all his friends and family at this incredibly difficult time.
“We’re appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who saw the motorcycle and the blue VW Polo travelling along the A6 prior to the collision, to come forward. We are especially keen to hear from anyone with dash cam footage that could help with our investigation.”
The A6 is expected to remain closed for much of the day while collision investigation work continues.
