Drivers are being warned of overnight closures on the A1 southbound between Sandy and Biggleswade North Roundabout as National Highways carries out resurfacing works.
The project is set to run for three nights, from Monday 14 July to Thursday 17 July, between 9pm and 5am, weather permitting.
The work aims to deliver a smoother, safer and better-marked road surface for motorists once complete.
During the closures, a signed diversion will be in place:

Southbound traffic will be diverted via the A1 northbound at the Sandy A603 roundabout to the Black Cat roundabout.

From there, take the A421 westbound to Elstow Interchange.

Exit onto the A6 south toward Clophill.

At Clophill roundabout, take the A507 westbound to Junction 10 (Baldock Interchange).

Re-join the A1 to head northbound back toward Sandy, where the diversion ends.
Northbound drivers will follow the same route in reverse.
