A long-standing local business has announced it is closing its doors after more than six decades of trading.
Bedford Timber Supplies Ltd, along with its sister company Bedford Timber (St Neots) Ltd, confirmed today that it will cease trading with immediate effect, bringing an end to 63 years of service to the local community and beyond.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, the company thanked its customers, suppliers, and partners for their loyal support over the years, describing the experience as “an honour and a privilege.”
“Bedford Timber has always been more than a merchant; we have been a family,” the statement read. “Together, we’ve built not just structures but relationships that we will forever cherish.”
The closure marks the end of a well-known name in the local timber trade, with many customers already sharing their messages of thanks and support online.
