Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service has shared new figures showing it is meeting or exceeding key emergency response targets, following public feedback during its five-year plan consultation.
For the most serious incidents, the service aims to respond within an average of 9 minutes in urban areas and 12 minutes in rural areas. In May, crews averaged 7.47 minutes in urban locations and 12.29 minutes in rural ones.
Another target is to have a fire engine on scene within 18 minutes on 95% of occasions. The service achieved this in 96.1% of incidents in May.
The update comes as part of the service’s commitment to greater transparency and reflects its ongoing efforts to deliver quick, effective support across the county, including St Neots and surrounding areas.
