Cambridgeshire Farms Targeted in Series of Diesel Thefts

Over 1,500 litres of diesel have been stolen from multiple farms across Cambridgeshire in a spate of thefts between late April and early May 2025, prompting police to issue urgent crime prevention advice.

A wave of diesel thefts has struck rural Cambridgeshire, with over 1,500 litres stolen from farms in Isleham, Holme, and Thorney. The first incident occurred on April 26 in Little London, Isleham, where 200 litres were siphoned from an irrigation pump in just 15 minutes. The same farm was hit again on May 4, losing another 300 litres. Additional thefts include red diesel stolen from New Decoy Farm in Holme between April 25 and 28, and a fuel bowser containing 1,000 litres taken from Bridge Farm in Thorney on April 29. Cambridgeshire Constabulary’s Rural Crime Action Team is urging farmers to enhance security measures and report any suspicious activity.
