Police tackling antisocial behaviour and car issues
Cambridgeshire Police have ramped up their efforts to combat antisocial behaviour and vehicle-related issues across the county. In Cambridge, officers on evening patrols addressed disturbances in Market Hill, moving on an intoxicated individual. Peterborough's city centre team collaborated with partner agencies to tackle street drinking, drug use, and abuse against retail staff.
Community engagement remains a priority, with officers visiting nurseries in Ely and Wisbech and attending a community meeting in Stanground to discuss residents' concerns. In Huntingdonshire, the sunny weather saw officers patrolling on foot and bike, addressing car-related issues by issuing tickets to illegally parked cars in St Ives and seizing an abandoned vehicle in Little Fen Drove.
These actions are part of a broader initiative to enhance neighbourhood policing and address community concerns effectively.
