Black Cat Roundabout

Service Station planned.

A new roadside services development is proposed just north of the Black Cat Roundabout in Chawston, Bedford. The plan, submitted to Bedford Borough Council, includes an EV charging hub for cars and HGVs, a petrol station, and two drive-through restaurants. The site would offer 16 EV bays for cars and vans, six for lorries, plus traditional fuel pumps. Additional features include parking, landscaping, and improved access via a new road linked to the A1 and A421 upgrade. Comfort facilities and outdoor seating are also planned to support drivers during longer stops.
