One of Bedford’s best-loved independent shops is marking a major milestone this summer. Arcadia, the family-run sweet shop in the Arcade, is celebrating its 120th birthday
Known for its nostalgic charm and vast selection of treats, Arcadia has been delighting generations with over 300 jars of traditional sweets, luxury boxed chocolates, Turkish delight, pick ‘n’ mix favourites and a popular range of American candy.
Still proudly family-run, Arcadia has remained a staple of the Bedford shopping scene through world wars, changing fashions, and sweet trends that come and go. Now in its 120th year, the team is inviting the local community to join them for a day of celebration and sweet surprises.
