St Neots-based fitness group has completed its ambitious 24-hour bootcamp challenge, raising over £7,000 for three charities, surpassing its initial £5,000 target.

The event, run by ABSolute Storm Fitness, was held over the weekend at Priory Park and saw 25 high-energy sessions bring together friends, families, and supporters for a full day of community fitness.

Two local women, Kim Morehen of St Neots and Ursula Van Leeuwen-Hill of Great Paxton, completed all 25 HIIT sessions, demonstrating remarkable endurance and determination.

The bootcamp was officially opened by the Mayor of St Neots, Councillor Richard Slade, who joined participants for a spin bike session, helping set the tone for a day of action and fun.

The groups coach, Abi Black, said:

“I was worried that I’d set the fundraising target too high, and that it was unachievable for people, especially during tough times. We smashed it! It truly felt like a family of 70 people coming together, which is exactly what I aimed to create when I founded the group nearly three years ago.

All funds raised will be shared between Ehlers Danlos Support UK, Children’s Burns Camps, and the Alzheimer’s Society, supporting people living with long-term conditions, children recovering from life-changing burns, and those affected by dementia.

"Everyone who joined for even one session played a vital role in keeping the energy high, and those who couldn’t make it still supported us through donations and baked goods. Massive thank you to all my lovely team for giving me grey hairs, a lost voice, and a bursting heart of pride!”
