Woodgreen Pets Charity Shop in St Neots has received a Christmas makeover with a difference, thanks to a national competition run by World of Books.
The store, run by two staff members and supported by 25 volunteers, was selected for a professional window transformation to help it stand out on the high street.
The makeover was carried out by London-based visual merchandiser Sara Ulen, who has styled for global brands including Max Mara, Selfridges, and Reiss.
The project followed Woodgreen’s win in the World of Books competition for charity retailers who use its Sell Your Books Pro service, a platform that allows shops to scan in donated books and media to generate extra revenue and free up space.

Ed Ashurst, the store manager who started as a volunteer seven years ago, said the makeover comes at an important time.
“We’re in the heart of the high street, and over the past year, five charity shops have closed locally. It’s a tough time for the sector,” he explained. “Having our shop window refreshed has not only lifted our spirits but also brings something special to the high street. We’re thrilled to have the support of Sara and World of Books, and it’s great to continue raising revenue while keeping books in circulation.”
