Paul Weller to Return to Bedford Park in 2026

Music icon Paul Weller to headline Sunday Night at Bedford Summer Sessions

Music icon Paul Weller is set to return to Bedford Park, three years after his sold-out headline performance in 2022. The celebrated singer-songwriter will take to the stage at Bedford Summer Sessions on Sunday 5 July 2026.

Weller’s career spans more than fifty years, during which he has established himself as one of the most influential figures in British music.

He first rose to prominence in the late 1970s as frontman of The Jam, whose debut single In The City and subsequent albums helped define that era’s emerging sound. After disbanding The Jam in 1982, Weller formed The Style Council with keyboard player Mick Talbot, achieving further success with songs including My Ever Changing Moods and Shout to the Top.

In the early 1990s, Weller embarked on a solo career that has produced a series of critically acclaimed albums such as Wild Wood, Stanley Road, and As Is Now. His work has earned him multiple Brit Awards and Ivor Novello Awards, and he continues to record and perform new material. His most recent album, 66, was released in 2024.

Over the course of his career, Weller has released 28 studio albums and achieved eight UK number one records. His influence has extended across several generations of musicians, and his live performances continue to draw large audiences across the UK and internationally.

The announcement of Paul Weller follows the earlier news that UB40 will headline Friday night and Bedford's own Tom Grennan will be taking to the stage to headline Saturdays event.

Tickets for Paul Weller’s Bedford Park performance will go on sale at 10am on Friday 31 October 2025.
Further event details will be available via Bedford Park Concerts.
