Following a fire earlier this year which destroyed their kitchen, the Offord Shoe has a new replacement.
A low loader lorry delivered the new kitchen earlier this month and a crane was used to lower it into position.
After months of hard work behind the scenes, the team headed by proprietor Richard Kennedy say they’ll be taking their new setup for a “big road test” this weekend, reopening the carvery for the first time in a while.
On the menu will be roast pork, beef and lamb, plus a vegetarian option, with the full menu to be posted tomorrow. And in true carvery tradition, everything will be served on — yes — real plates! The pub has been using disposable alternatives since the fire.
