A new bus service linking Biggleswade, Sandy and Potton directly with Cambridge will launch on Monday 5 January 2026, offering residents a faster and more affordable way to reach the city.
The X75 route, operated by A2B Travel and funded by Central Bedfordshire Council through the government’s Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP), will provide four journeys each way, Monday to Saturday.
It’s the first direct connection between these towns and Cambridge in several years. The early service leaves Biggleswade Interchange at 06:28, reaching Cambridge’s Drummer Street in just over an hour — ideal for commuters and students.
Single fares are £3, with concessionary and young person travel passes accepted.
Council leaders say the new service will make public transport “more accessible, reliable and sustainable” for local communities across Central Bedfordshire.
