Fire crews were called to an early morning lorry fire on the A1 near Little Paxton on Wednesday (12 November).
Crews from Kimbolton, St Neots, Sawtry and Huntingdon attended the scene, along with a water carrier from Bedfordshire, after the alarm was raised at around 4.29am.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels to bring the blaze under control. The fire was fully extinguished and crews had returned to their stations by 6.55am.
The cause of the fire was confirmed as accidental. The A1 fully reopened around 09:00 following recovery works.
