Carnival Magic Comes to St Neots Market Square This Weekend!

Carnival Magic Comes to St Neots Market Square

Residents and visitors to St Neots are invited to enjoy a vibrant and nostalgic celebration this weekend, as the town’s Market Square transforms into a traditional carnival setting on Sunday 25th May, from 12 noon to 4pm.

The event, which is completely free to attend, promises an afternoon of family-friendly entertainment, classic games, live performances, and community spirit in the heart of the town centre.

Attendees will be able to enjoy a wide selection of vintage-style carnival games, including Coconut Shy, Hook-a-Duck. Ring Toss, Hoopla, Ball in the Bucket and more!

All activities are free to play, and participants will have the opportunity to win tokens and small prizes throughout the afternoon.

The day will also feature live stage entertainment showcasing local talent.

Other highlights include:

  • A walkabout performance from St Neots’ very own carnival elephant

  • Creative craft activities hosted by St Neots Museum, suitable for all ages

  • A large screen displaying over 80 historical images of the Market Square and town centre

  • Unique photo opportunities, including quirky peep-through boards and oversized dodgems

  • A selection of themed food and drink stalls offering refreshments from local vendors

To round off the day, the Market Square will be transformed into an open-air cinema from 5pm, with a sing-along screening of The Greatest Showman. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or their own chair to ensure a comfortable viewing experience.

This free community event offers a full day of entertainment, nostalgia, and shared experiences, and promises to be a highlight of the spring calendar in St Neots.
