St Neots-based dragon boat racing team Cambridgeshire Royals returned home with two third-place finishes after competing at the Secklow 100 in Milton Keynes this weekend.
The event, part of the British Dragon Boat Association (BDA) calendar, saw the Royals take on clubs from across the country in high-speed races over 200 and 470 metres. They finished third in both the 200m Open Final and the 470m Final, a strong result in a fiercely contested competition.
Among their crew was 13-year-old Scott, who will soon be representing Team GB at an international event in Germany this July.
The Royals, who train at Ride Leisure near Wyboston, are now preparing for their next race at London Docklands on 24 August, and are always welcoming new recruits to come and have a go at this fast, team-based water sport.
