Prolific Shoplifter Caught on Midland Road
A suspected shoplifter was caught on camera in Midland Road on Saturday, seen dropping stolen goods and discarding security tags.
Officers tracked him to a nearby address, where he was found trying to sell the items.
He was arrested not only for this offence, but also for two other outstanding shop thefts.
Police say retail crime threatens the vibrancy of Bedford’s town centre and urged support for local shops.
