The Angels Foundation UK has been selected for the third year running as one of the Captain’s Charities at St Neots Golf Club, receiving continued support from the local community.
Over the course of the year, the charity has raised £1,497, funds which will be directed towards specialist training for counsellors. This training is designed to enhance the support offered to children who have experienced complex trauma, including domestic abuse and multiple Adverse Childhood Experiences.
The programme covers key areas such as understanding trauma, building safe therapeutic relationships, exploring shame and its effects, dissociation, creative assessment tools, attachment trauma, and DID mapping. These skills are critical in enabling counsellors to provide effective, targeted support and help break cycles of abuse.
The Angels Foundation UK acknowledged the ongoing support of St Neots Golf Club, noting that it has been “instrumental in helping to grow and sustain services” for vulnerable children. The charity expressed its gratitude to the club and to all involved in fundraising efforts, highlighting the tangible difference this support makes to children and families in the local area.
