A428 Upgrade

A billion pound scheme will improve journeys between Milton Keynes and Cambridge, bringing communities together and supporting long term growth in the region. 

We expect the road to open in 2027. Come back here regularly to check how the upgrade works might affect the journeys you have to make.

A1 Northbound closure 9pm Friday 31st October to 5am Monday 3rd November

A1 Both directions closed between Tempsford and Black Cat roundabout.
