3 Pillars Feeding The Homeless - Charity Fundraiser
Each year, in the run-up to Christmas, Black Cat Radio invites local businesses and residents to pledge £25 to support 3 Pillars – Feeding the Homeless, a local charity providing food, clothing, and bedding to people living on the streets and in need within our community. In return, we welcome you to record a short voice-message which we'll play out on-air throughout December, giving you and your business the chance to wish your staff, clients and customers a Merry Christmas.
Why We Ask for £25
Your £25 pledge helps 3 Pillars to:
-
Provide hot meals and food parcels
-
Supply warm clothing and thermal layers
-
Distribute blankets, sleeping bags, and bedding
-
Offer essentials like toiletries and first-aid supplies
3 Pillars is a small, local organisation, so every pound you give goes directly to those who need it most.
Christmas is a time for celebration, but also a time for reflection — a time to think of those less fortunate than ourselves.
For those living on the streets, the cold, dark, damp winter nights can be incredibly harsh.
Your donation helps make those nights a little more bearable by providing warmth, food, and comfort.
How to Make Your Pledge
You can make your £25 pledge quickly and easily online. Click the Just Giving button below.
Record Your Christmas Message
When you pledge, we’ll invite you to record a short 30-second message to be played on-air throughout December — a great way to wish your staff, clients, and customers a Merry Christmas, while showing your support for a wonderful local cause.
Hear an example from our 2024 campaign:
Messages are broadcast across St Neots, Bedford, and the surrounding villages — reaching thousands of local listeners throughout the festive season.
How To Record
Simply record on your phone.
On iPhone, use the 'Voice Memo' app (usually in 'utilities') to record your message. After recording, click the 3x dots next to the recording, click 'Share' and then 'Save to Files'. You can then locate it when using the form below.
Android users options vary depending on make/model. It'll normally be called either Voice recorder/sound recorder/recorder.
Alternatively, you can email your voice-message to: christmas@blackcatradio.org
Clips must be received by 28th November. Clips received after this date will still be included, but receive fewer plays on-air.
Our Goal
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our local community, in just two years we’ve raised £6,500 for 3 Pillars.
This year, we’re aiming to reach a total of £10,000 by Christmas — and with your help, we can do it!
Thank You
Black Cat Radio is proud to partner with 3 Pillars – Feeding the Homeless for this annual appeal.
All funds raised go directly to the charity to help people within our community who need it most.
