Luke Young Hat-Trick Fires Eynesbury Rovers into Hunts Senior Cup Semi-Final
Eynesbury Rovers booked their place in the Huntingdonshire Senior Cup semi-finals with a convincing 4–1 win over Godmanchester Rovers on Tuesday night.
Star striker Luke Young hit his second hat-trick of the season as Eynesbury overcame their United Counties League rivals to join Eaton Socon, St Ives Town and St Neots Town in the last four.
Young opened the scoring after 14 minutes, added a second following brilliant work by Victor Osobu, and completed his treble midway through the second half. Oliver Brookes added a late header to round off the victory after Ben Seymour-Shove had pulled one back for the visitors.
Eynesbury Rovers return to league action this Saturday, away to Bugbrooke St Michaels (kick-off 3pm).
