Rail Services to and from St Neots are facing major disruption this afternoon after a person was struck by a train at Stevenage.
Thameslink has confirmed that emergency services are on site, and all lines in the affected area remain blocked while the incident is dealt with.
Trains from Peterborough towards London are facing delays or cancellations with bus replacement services running. Services from London towards St Neots have been cancelled. Passengers are warned that delays of up to 60 minutes and further cancellations are likely as operators work to manage the disruption.
Additional restrictions are affecting connections across the network, including no trains running between Hitchin and Welwyn Garden City or between Stevenage and Hertford North until further notice. Major disruption is expected to continue until around 7pm, with operators advising passengers to check the latest travel updates and consider alternative routes where possible.
Thameslink has expressed its sadness over the incident, highlighting the impact on services while emergency responders carry out their work.
